Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple, Mayur Vihar Phase-I, Delhi — where the recently concluded Vishnu Sahasra Nama Koti Archana Chanting remains etched in sacred memory — is all set to conduct the 37th Annual Utsavam 2026 & Prathishta Dinam Celebrations, from Sunday, 10th May to Sunday, 17th May 2026.
The venerable tradition unfolds anew with Laksharchana & Kalabhabhishekam on Thursday, 8th May 2026, culminating with Pushpabhishekam on Sunday, 17th May and Saura Gayathri Homam / Sukrutha Homam on Monday, 18th May 2026.
Adhering to past practices, the Utsavam sponsorship — including many a sacred ritual — is allotted to the adjacent areas of the Temple and to individual sponsors through draw of lots taken in front of Bhagawan Guruvayurappan in the Aanakottil.
With hearts suffused in devotion and gratitude, the Executive Committee of Arsha Dharma Parishad reverentially invites all blessed devotees of Bhagawan Guruvayurappan to participate in this momentous annual celebration.

While every Mantra in the Vedas has its own significance, the Gayathri Mantra is considered uniquely powerful as an invocation to God — the Supreme Blissful Consciousness (Sandra Ananda Avabodhaatmaka). The arrangement of its twenty-four seed syllables is the most wonderous and mysterious.
Chanting this mantra develops a cosmic rhythm, a regular subtle vibration in the nerves of the environment. Its recitation is like a Yogic exercise where body, mind and soul merge to realize the supreme bliss. The Sage is Vishwamitra, the meter is Gayathri, and the Presiding Deity is Savita (represented by the Sun).
Participation in the Gayathri Homam bestows good health, vitality, longevity, fortitude, courage, righteousness, wealth, grace, glory, success, love, intellectual independence, spiritual purification and divine transformation of the self.
The Gayathri Mantra with Pranavam and Vyahrithi is repeated 24,000 times during the Homam, conducted by a team of priests led by the Temple Thantri.
Rates for offerings and sponsorships during the Utsavam period. Multiple sponsorship is welcome. All amounts in Indian Rupees (₹).
